À propos de l'auteur

Her most recent e-books - Fixin' Stupid and other Tales of a Tennessee Trauma Queen, and A is for Airway follow the Emergency Medical Adventures of Roxy McCoy in the Tennessee mountains. Roxy experiences the humor and horror of being an EMT in a rural community. From farm animal accidents to foolish redneck games, Ruby is constantly amazed at the ways people can do themselves in. In between patients, Roxy meets a man that makes her long for the warmth of his arms and the comfort of love. Her second book - Right Under My Nose - Short Stories with a Purpose, was released just before Christmas 2012. It chronicles the adventures and exploits of retired K-9 Detective Tom West and his K-9 partner Cowboy. When they rescue a part lab/part pit bull puppy, they become trainers as well as family to the pup who joins their team. The book is aimed at dog lovers - people who communicate with their dogs and know their dogs communicate back! It is very "tween" and teen friendly and if it were a movie, would be rated PG or maybe PG 13. Many of the stories address serious subjects such as cancer, Alzheimer's, homelessness and online predators and include links to additional information. Moon of the Hawk, her first novel, is a story of friendship, love, murder, revenge and justice, set in Arizona in the mid-80's. Many of the events in the book are based on events she experienced. Ms. Watt wrote Moon of the Hawk while living in California. In her California life, Ms. Watt was an avid horsewoman. Her northern California home bordered the American River and Folsom Lake, where she spent many weekends and evenings riding with friends. The experiences on horseback described in the book are close to many real life situations she encountered. Mountain lions were not uncommon in this part of California and she had several encounters with them, including one close call with a lion that had just killed one of her goats.
