As an added bonus Cona and Picone have set up a Facebook page where family members (whether two-legged or four legged) can submit their own cone stories, drawings or even coloured versions of the illustrations within the book. Cona Lisa and Picone were just ordinary dogs until each of them got coned. The experience wasn’t the happiest one for either of them, so when a rare copy of Diggities Naturally Barking practically fell into Cona’s lap she knew what to do. She barked and it typed. With her odd sense of humour leading the way she barked out numerous tips, some more practical than others, for ConeDogs and their people. Living outside of Calgary Cona protects her pack of two leggers and four leggers from Grizzly Bears, Tigers and Dinosaurs with a courage that far exceeds the size of her 5 pound body. When we point out that there are no Grizzly Bears, Tigers and Dinosaurs anywhere on the properties she barks, "Exactly!" When we ask her about the many Moose on our property she replies, "You mean the really big dogs, they're part of my pack! Why would I chase them off?" (Sometimes, when she gets too lippy, we hide her Bark to Text software). Picone supports all of Cona's property protection decisions by sleeping through the meetings. She stands behind Cona and is always willing lend a helping paw. Hurling her ten and a half pounds of somewhat flabby muscle into every dire situation, Picone and Cona become indefatigable! (and pretty cute too). Cona and Picone invite you to wag along as they show your people the lighter side of conehood. If you are currently coned Cona will show you that you are not alone in wearing your cone and that you have no need to be embarrassed. Cona will, in fact, teach you how to have fun with your conehood and even how you can use your cone-ing to earn extra kibbles. Soon all the dogs in your neighbourhood will want to be ConeDogs too.
