"Have you ever thought that if a book could talk, what it would say? Well, I am a book and I'm going to tell you". Thus begins the story of the Wee Book from his birth just outside Glasgow, Scotland to his stay at St. George’s library and travels with children who love him. The Wee Book finds a beautiful, wide, world where books share wisdom with each other and the children who read them.

Beth Hamilton was born in Scotland in the last years of World War II. She still remembers not leaving the house without her Identification Card and little brown box slung over her shoulder holding her gas mask in it. At 15 Beth started her apprenticeship in a bookbinding factory and was there for seven years. She got married, had two children, then, moved to America in 1962. There, her other two children were born. While raising her family, she got involved in amateur theatre and sang in a number of shows. She played the second lead in BRIGADOON, a play about a mythical village in Scotland. Having retired from working in the state of Rhode Island, Beth is enjoying being actively involved with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (B.P.O.E.) South Kingstown, RI Lodge 1899. Lisa Raffaelly Weeks was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts. As a “Navy Brat”, Lisa has lived in many areas of the United Sates that include California, Florida and Maryland just to mention a few. After meeting each other in Florida, Lisa and her husband Dana settled in Rhode Island where they met Ms. Hamilton. As great friends, the Weeks’ and Ms. Hamilton have traveled the world together.
