The Ruby Recorder Music Theory Book 1 is only for recorder players! Follow the recorderbods through the book as they take you on a cheerful, progressive journey through reading treble clef, note values, time signatures, key signatures, scales, intervals, musical symbols, terms and more.

This book uses UK Musical Terms (crotchets, quavers etc). A version using US terms (quarter notes, eighth notes etc) is also available.  

With clear explanations, plenty of easy (and trickier) exercises, puzzles, regular checks so you can see how you’re doing, and interesting recorder facts and information.

All examples and exercises are in treble clef. Ideal for beginner recorder players young and old, covering all you need to know for grades 1 and 2 recorder. The Ruby Recorder Music Theory Book 2 carries on from Book 1 and takes you through the theory behind Grades 3-5 recorder.
