In a world of endless distraction and countless ways to flee solitude, we can sometimes forget how to enjoy our own company. Mama, I'm Lonely reveals this dilemma faced by Stella, a six-year old elephant.
Stella tries to fill the emptiness she feels inside her heart by doing things she loves with people she loves, but the void remains. She turns to her mother for help, for Mama Elephant always seems content and happy. Her mother explains a beautiful truth to Stella. "It isn't always easy, but if you can learn to be comfortable around yourself, if you can learn to enjoy your own company, you'll never be lonely again."
Mama, I'm Lonely is a book for children from ages 4 to 9, with a message that is timeless. Your child will also enjoy looking for the picture of the moon on each page.

Hi! I have been a dyslexia and reading tutor for the past 8 years in San Francisco. After years of looking for specific educational materials to help children with dyslexia enjoy learning, I finally decided to create the materials myself. The result has been an exciting journey with the start of a company called 'I See, I Spell, I Learn®' offering fun and useful products to help right-brained children read and spell with success. I have created Picture Flash Cards and Workbooks for Sight Words and Homophones, Short Vowel Workbooks and more recently, an entire series of 30 fun and easy-to-read Phonics-based story books for both early readers and children with dyslexia. I work in a private Montessori school in the Bay Area as a Reading Specialist, have been a certified Barton tutor, and have a Masters in Communications Management from the Annenberg School of Communications (USC). My non-professional writing began in 2009 when I wrote 'How Souls Are Made' for my lovely 5 year old's birthday. The dream to actually see it published and printed came true in 2015, following which I have written another book for pre-teens to teenagers, this time on anger, called 'The Unwanted Guest'. 'Mama, I'm Lonely' is my third children's book. I love to write and hope that these books bring as much joy to my readers as writing them brings to me!
