In A Heart for God: Devotionals through the Life of David, stories of King David become modern-day checkpoints for believers who desire a heart that chases after God. One of the most relatable characters in the Bible, David has struggled with many of the same issues the modern-day Christian faces: family problems, personal struggles with sin, and even adversity from outside sources. As the reader walks with David as he walks with God, they begin to understand how having a heart for God serves as a bulwark against the trials of life. With his unique brand of Bible study and storytelling, this first of two devotionals helps believers walk in David's footsteps as they, too, develop a heart for God.
