Luis Lobo-Guerrero is Professor of History and Theory of International Relations at the University of Groningen where he chairs the department under this name. He is also the director for the Centre for International Relations Research within the Groningen Institute for the Study of Culture. Luis Lobo-Guerrero is the author of Insuring Security: Biopolitics, Security and Risk (Routledge, 2011), Insuring War: Sovereignty, Security and Risk (Routledge, 2012), and Insuring Life: Value, Security and Risk (Routledge, 2016), as well as editor for the first edited volume of this trilogy Imaginaries of Connectivity: the making of novel spaces of governance (Rowman and Littlefield, 2019).

Laura Lo Presti is Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Groningen and Cultore della Materia in Geography at the University of Padova. She is author of (Un)exhausted Cartographies: representation, visuality and aesthetics in the critical theory of contemporary cartography (FrancoAngeli, forthcoming) and she has published several articles and chapters on map theory.
