Michael Connick has based this novel on his real life experiences working with the intelligence community, the Department of Defense, and the technology industry. In fact, most of the historical facts in this novel are completely true. Michael was born and raised in San Francisco, served as a consultant to the Shah’s Secret Police, the SAVAK, in Tehran, and worked and lived in Vienna, Austria. He now resides in Huntington, WV, where he writes, competes in Practical Pistol and Rifle competitions, volunteers with local organizations, and is very happily married to a truly wonderful wife.
