Synopsis

In this alternative history of York Graham Rhodes manages to combine facts with a twisted distortion of what just might have happened in this light-hearted book written especially for people who find history boring. Reads like Bill Bryson got drunk with Terry Pratchett and together they attacked the history of City of York

A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

Graham Rhodes is a writer who once lived near York. His age is a trade secret, but he’s old enough to remember the 60’s and still plays music by Country Joe and The Fish. Amongst his many jobs are design work for The Police, The Cramps, Squeeze and many other bands of the late 70’s. He has also been a communications designer, creating and producing audio visual presentations, conferences and videos. As well as writing scripts for use in corporate, training and marketing videos, he has also written many historical scripts for use in museums, visitor centres and television documentaries. Graham also writes a unique brand of stand-up comedy poetry which he performs in rock venues throughout Britain.
