In this universe there are two forms of government: republican and non-republican. The U.S. constitution promises all Americans the republican form. Monarchies (rule by one), oligarchies (rule by the few) and democracies (rule by the majority) are each of the non-republican form. Each of these versions are characterized by government's sole reliance on Man's written and decreed law, called positive law. In contrast, republican governments rely on two kinds of law: both Man's positive written law and Nature's unwritten law. In a republic, Nature -- and not Man -- defines such concepts as case, crime, property, gender, marriage and natural born citizen. If republican legislatures could define the meaning of crime, then they could define who belongs in jail. If Congress could define the meaning of natural born citizen, then it could allow a foreign king to be U.S. President. Instead, as this book demonstrates, natural law – and not Man's positive law – determines both who are criminals and who are authentic U.S. Presidents. America's republics cannot exist without recognizing the duality of natural and positive law. Thus, the U.S. constitution's guarantee of a republican form of government cannot be fulfilled without understanding the political laws of Nature. When attorneys and government officials take oaths to the U.S. constitution, then they are taking oaths to uphold the republican form of government. Because this is the first book to define the republican form, then it is essential reading for such oath takers. As well, it is through this book that U.S. citizens can fully understand the meaning of their citizenship and the scope of their political rights.
