Carol Englund's writing journey was prompted by others who noticed her natural tendency to capture ideas and events in descriptive detail. In high school she was surprised to be invited to a special dinner as recognition for an article concerning teens. More recently, she felt honored to be included in her church's writers' conference. A number of her devotionals have appeared online, and for several years she has taken her turn at writing the monthly newsletter. A separate devotional magazine has published five of her contributions. Having taught Sunday school for about 25 years, she still likes to connect with young people. She is also fond of animals, especially cats, dogs, and horses.
