À propos de l'auteur

Esther Luttrell is a mystery writer who decided to gift her new granddaughter, Maya, with a storybook that would make the child its star attraction. Creating a series entitled The Magic of… each new title completes the sentence. Thus, The Magic of Apples, Bees & Calico Cats became an ABC read-to-me learning adventure in which first grader Maya, convinced she can never learn all of those ABCs, joins her parakeet friend, Sail-Along, in a journey to the Land of the ABCs. The birth of a second grandchild prompted Esther to write Is There Really a Santa? asked Elsi, a story that answers the age-old question without destroying the legend. A new Christmas storybook, the second in The Magic of… series, is dedicated to both children. Maya and Elsi’s Teddy Bear Adventure is a delightful tale that deals with gift-giving and true values. Esther’s other children’s storybooks are Spearfinger, based on a Cherokee legend, and The Day Someone Special Arrived, a read–to–me story for parents and grandparents to share with their special child, is about the joy-filled day of their birth. Esther Luttrell was born in Daytona Beach, Florida and attended numerous schools. Participation in a PhD grant at a major university as filmmaker led to a long career writing, producing and direction films. Her background includes CBS and MGM studios. Her screenplay, for the film, Te Ata (2016), has won Best Screenplay, Best Picture and Audience Favorite awards at film festivals around the country. Esther is at home writing mysteries when she isn’t traveling as keynote speaker at women’s, writers, and senior events
