Whether we like it or not, climate change is happening, and humans are causing it.
Over the next several years, expect to see even more scarily intense storms, destructive wildfires, unbearably hot summers, and extinctions of some of your favorite animals. But among all that doom and gloom is hope: if we act now, we can prevent some serious disasters.
The first step in preparing for all this is to learn what exactly is going to happen and why. Drawing on the latest scientific predictions and expert perspectives, journalist Jeff Fleischer walks through each aspect of climate change, from rising seas to increasing temperatures to climate refugees, and explains in candid terms what will happen if humans keep up their pollution, development, and consumption habits.
Climate change may be the biggest global threat in human history, but armed with this book, you'll be empowered to approach it with a scientific mind and be prepared for the future.
