À propos de l?auteur

Arthur Conan Doyle (1859–1930) studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh Medical School. While enrolled, he began to write short stories and met contemporaries James Barrie and Robert Louis Stevenson. After graduating, he set up an independent physician practice. The business was not successful, so Doyle began writing fiction while waiting for patients. Today, he is known around the world as the creator of Sherlock Holmes.

The world’s greatest detective appeared in fifty-six short stories and four novels: A Study in Scarlet, The Sign of the Four, The Hound of the Baskervilles, and The Valley of Fear. Sherlock Holmes has been adapted for countless television, film, and theater productions and continues to delight each new generation of mystery fans.
