ALBERT BRYCE HANNER, a contemporary American writer of poetry, prose, and fiction, was born in Flint, Michigan to Sharon Lettie (Jones) of Ontario, Oregon, and Albert Duane Hanner, of Flint, Michigan. Hanner grew up in Flushing, Michigan along with his two brothers; Robert Harland Hanner and Ryan William Hanner. Hanner received private fine-art instruction from Bettie Rae Stevens through the Rae Studio & Gallery in Flushing, Michigan (1986–1994), and graduated from Central Michigan University (2001) with a double major in painting & drawing, and graphic design. For the last sixteen years he has been married to Jessica Marie Hanner, of St. John Michigan. Albert & Jessica moved to New York City in 2001 where they lived for four and a half years, and then moved across the country to Denver, Colorado (2005), where they currently reside with their two children: Maya Matilda Mae Hanner and Albert Monroe Hanner. Since 2003 Hanner has published four volumes poetry: Angel Monster (2003), Collected Poems: 1995–2013 (2013), The Selected Poems (2016) and Keep Listening And Other Poems (2017). His first novel of literary fiction, Resolving Dalton Jones, was published in 2015.
