Synopsis

“Bella and the Bully: A story about Hippo Therapy” shows a way to help and support others in need. A young boy named Connor, who has had difficulty walking since birth, is frequently bullied by a bigger boy. Connor met a baby hippo named Bella, from a visiting circus, that helped him learn to walk properly, and with the support of his family and pharmacist, Connor stopped being a victim of bullying.

À propos de l'auteur

The author, Janice Schmidt, is a retired Speech-Language Pathologist from Swanton, OH who has owned and, also, read many books to children. Her goal has been to write about children using a moral undertone. She decided to use the animal statues around the streets of Grand Rapids, OH as a theme while creating stories. This is her first book. The illustrator, Hannah Mabie, is a student at the University of Michigan, studying art and design, using oil, acrylic and watercolor. She lives in Ann Arbor, MI.
