Every day millions of students and professionals face the important task of communicating quantitative information. The book "Classy Stats" is designed to help people accomplish that task more effectively. "Classy Stats" is essentially three books in one. It is a book that will help journalists and other writers who want to become better at understanding and communicating statistics. It is a book that will help researchers, analysts and statisticians who want to become better at writing about the results of their analyses. And it is a book that will help anyone who wants to become better at producing basic statistical graphics. Students and professionals who master the principles presented in "Classy Stats" will find themselves more confident when they are “home alone” working on a major statistics-based project. In that type of project, a person is expected to produce, with little or no help, an article, report or presentation that demonstrates professional-level skill in the “Big Three”—numbers, words and graphics. "Classy Stats" shows people in various fields how to avoid missteps in communicating quantitative information, and the book shows people the “best practices” for communicating quantitative information effectively.
