Synopsis
"Floyer Sydenham (1710 – 1 April 1787) was a scholar of ancient Greek and a translator of Platonic dialogues into English. Thomas Taylor (15 May 1758 – 1 November 1835) was a Hellenophile and a translator of Platonic dialogues and other Platonist literature into English. The combined efforts of the above translators resulted in the first comprehensive translation of Plato's dialogues into the English language. Volume 3 of the Works Of Plato consists of Plato's dialogue Parmenides. It includes notes and commentary by Thomas Taylor."
