The objective is to totally discredit the Russian President but his hold over the Russian media may prevent the scandal reaching Russian TV and press, where it would do the most damage to the President. But this will only happen if the world’s media decide to broadcast these extraordinary allegations. Or will they simply be rejected as fake news?
