Scott Britt is a 5th degree black belt in Isshinryu karate, with rank in Shotokan, Agedo, and Kendo. In 2004, he was inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame as “Bunkai Instructor of The Year.” He has been an avid competitor, serving on the U.S. team in the 2004 World Games in Athens, Greece, where he brought home several medals in various divisions. He, his wife Mindy, and three sons live in Knoxville, TN. He views karate not as a hobby or as a part-time job, but as a calling and a ministry to help people become better able to defend themselves, to teach Christian values, and to introduce Christ to those who otherwise may never have had the opportunity to know Him.
