Being that we were dealing with over $80,000.00 in product, we needed to know that they were serious and not undercovers or something. Knowing that we needed to see the goods, one of the guys slid across the table a newspaper folded up in the shape of a square. Inside was tens of thousands of dollars of cash, all the proof we needed that they were legit.

We confirmed with our Colombian contact that indeed the five kilos were available and arranged for the deal to go down at a Chili's restaurant off of Fountain View Drive in Houston."
