Hamachi Yamada won the 16th Kamikaze Prize in 2019 for her one-shot Aitsu wa Sorairo no Kuruma de (He Drove a Sky-Blue Car) and made her serialized manga debut in 2020 with Crescent Moon Marching. Her other major works include Hanaikeru: Kawakita Koukou Kadou-bu (Hanaikeru: Kawakita High School Flower Arrangement Club). She lives in Japan.
