Synopsis

The Stable stories is a series of 5 illustrated stories set in the stable in Bethlehem on the night when Jesus was born. They are told from the perspective of the various animals present that night. They are family stories as opposed to children's stories in that they are not just for young readers. Book 1 The Donkey's Burden This story tells the story of Bareo a donkey who has always wanted to do something great with his life but has largely lived a life of obscurity and hard work. However as the night goes by he comes to the realisation that he has carried a special child on his back, that he has been part of a moment that has changed the world forever.
