Synopsis

The Stable stories is a series of 5 illustrated stories set in the stable in Bethlehem on the night when Jesus was born. They are told from the perspective of the various animals present that night. They are family stories as opposed to children's stories in that they are not just for young readers. Book 5 The Last Lamb This tells the story of Amnos a Ram who has just become a father. Since the time he was a lamb Amnos has seen an angel who comes at the birthing time of lambs to accompany sacrificial lambs to heaven. He is deeply afraid that the Angel will come this year for his first born son. To his horror the Angel arrives in the stable and Amnos pleads for the life of his son. The ensuing conversation reveals God's love for all that He has made.
