Synopsis

The year is 2015 and a newly formed terrorist cell coined ISIS is on the rise. As the cell expands across Syria and Iraq, a movement of foreign volunteers would join the ranks of the Kurdish Peshmerga and the YPG. Among those in the ranks, a young, former soldier of the U.S. Army. Still hungry for combat. Erwin Stran traveled to Kurdistan along with a handful of others to take part in campaigns to deter the expansion of the terrorist cell under another nation's flag.

À propos de l'auteur

Erwin Stran is a five-year veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a driver/gunner in the 252nd Military Police Company. A veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, he first deployed in 2009. After leaving the military in 2012, he bounced around in the security and investigative fields before traveling back to the Middle East as a volunteer during the appearance of Daesh (ISIS, Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) where he embedded himself within Kurdish forces in light infantry units and heavy weapons support units. Stran is a student of the arts, studying in recording engineering, producing and sound design and moonlights as a stage musician.
