Marles Vitters Wilson put herself through college, made the dean's list, and realized her lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. She has taught school in her native South Dakota, as well as in Minnesota and Wisconsin. In addition to a distinguished career as a teacher, she has also been a school principal and was chosen National Distinguished Principal. She has headed a long list of educational committees, including committees for Restructuring Schools.
