Dawn Vircks is personally acquainted with grief. One of the worst losses occurs when a mother loses a child. To lose a child by suicide is a double whammy. Dawn describes that loss, exploring the devastation and grief until she reaches the bottom and begins to find herself again. She plumbs the depths of her emotions through counsel, perseverance, and time, always clinging to God and His promises. As you read “Finding a Place of Peace” you will be lovingly consoled and counseled as you journey with her through the death of her son, Ryan. Grieving that loss, while at the same time watching her marriage disintegrate, while raising two other sons, and while remembering and realizing that there were sign posts along the way, but too obscure individually to save his life. You will see first hand the destruction that suicide causes to others as you read the first person account of the policeman whose gun completed Ryan's plan to end his life. The comfort that the Lord Jesus Christ provides and the transforming power of living in peace will leave you with great hopefulness.
