WE CAN WIN! There are 350 million people in the world suffering from depression. Yes, that many, including me. A few years ago I experienced first-hand many of the symptoms of depression. It has the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through. But with help from a doctor, support from my tribe, and lifestyle changes, I recovered. That’s why I believe in recovery from depression, and that there are many things we can do for our recovery. I wrote this to let you know you’re not alone. There’s comfort in knowing that you’re not the only one experiencing the difficulties of depression, which affect our mind, emotions and body. I also wrote this to let you know that you’re not helpless or hopeless, no matter what you feel. In this book I talk about getting to the root of why you feel the way you do, and once you put your finger on your triggers and stressors, there’s a lot of helpful, doable, practical advice you can follow so that you can begin to feel like yourself again. Fighting depression will probably be a lifetime battle for many of us, but when we are armed with good weapons and tools, we can win.
