First published in 1799, George Walker’s The Vagabond was an immediate popular success. His publications include Revolutionary Histories: Transatlantic Cultural Nationalism, 1775-1815 (Palgrave Macmillan, 2002) and Epistolary Histories: Letters, Fiction, Culture (with Amanda Gilroy, University of Virginia Press, 2000). He is also general editor of the ten-volume Anti-Jacobin Novels for Pickering & Chatto Publishers.
