Jim Carrier, a roaming western columnist for the Denver Post, has been a journalist for 30 years. He has also written several books including West of the Divide, which won a Colorado Book Award. Carrier lives in Denver, Colorado. Marc Bekoff, a professor in the department of Environmental, Population, and Organismic Biology at the University of Colorado, Boulder, is a fellow of the Animal Behavior Society. Bekoff is the author of several books and lives in Boulder, Colorado.
