Présentation de l'éditeur

Popeye's incarnations after his creator E.C. Segar's death have diluted the original brilliance of the character, even though Popeye remains a cultural icon and one of the comics' major licensing properties. Almost 70 years since Segar's death, Fantagraphics' Popeye collects the complete run of Segar's Thimble Theatre comic strip starring Popeye and re-establishes Segar as one of the unique geniuses who have elevated comics' status.
