À propos de l'auteur

For many years Diksha McCord was the head chef at The Expanding Light, Ananda s retreat center. She learned vegetarian cooking while growing up in Israel. Later she lived in Japan, where she became familiar with Japanese cuisine, and then in California, where she explored macrobiotic, vegan, and Ayurvedic cooking. Diksha is the author of two other cookbooks: Global Kitchen and Vegetarian Cooking for Starters. She created and hosts Online Vegetarian Cooking for Health and Vitality, a four-season video series. A resident since 1993 of Ananda Village, a spiritual cooperative community in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in Northern California, Diksha serves as a minister and teacher at The Expanding Light, where she also directs the Ananda MeditationTM Teacher Training. In addition, she and her husband, Gyandev, lead workshops in many locations around the world. After receiving her BS in Biology from Hebrew University, she spent four years in medical research. Later she earned her BFA from Israel s Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, and received numerous awards for her work. Diksha also spent three years in a master s program at Kyoto Art University in Japan."
