A former education, stewardship, and hunger staff member for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, he spends his postdenominational days as a congregational consultant and writer. Bob is the author of Starting Simple: Conversations about the Way We Live, Your Brain Goes to Church: Neuroscience and Congregational Life, and Not Trying Too Hard, a behind-the-curtain look at congregational dynamics.
