Présentation de l'éditeur

How is it that children with 20/20 vision can have visual-perceptual and visual-motor deficits noted by standardized testing, problems such as skipping and re-reading lines, eyes that do not look aligned, and spatial organization issues when writing? To answer these questions, occupational therapy professionals must know the significance of 20/20 vision, the components of vision, and how vision itself ties in with functional visual-perceptual and visual-motor skills. The chapters in this comprehensive book--written by occupational therapists, optometrists, an opthalmologist, a social worker, a cranial osteopath, and a neuropsychologist from around the world on such diverse topics as sensory integration, visual attention, hand-eye coordination, postural control, and vision impairment--can provide some much-needed answers.
