Chapters show how Nietzsche's use of language exposes the social construction of such moral values as goodness and justice; draws out the "dangerous" potential of rhetoric as a challenger of accepted beliefs; and gives rise to a rhetorical vision that allows us to see history and the future in new and potentially liberatory ways. Thomas further proposes that what Nietzsche demands of his readers is an interaction with his texts that goes beyond any surface level of meaning to the level of feeling, mood, and emotion.
