Synopsis

This collection of 40 essays completes the series Building Materials for Life, which includes three volumes and a total of 120 essays. In volumes I and II, Millard Fuller writes about topics such as learning from failure, staying healthy, prayer, worship, humble pride, hope, commitment, sorrow, and passion. Volume III includes essays on habits, inspiration, anger, trouble, humor, and thirty-five additional topics. As in the first two volumes, the essays deal with both religious and secular subjects, and everything is relevant to daily living. À propos de l'auteur

Millard Fuller is the founder of Habitat for Humanity International and the Fuller Center for Housing. Fuller’s business expertise and entrepreneurial drive made him a millionaire by age 29. Then, after a rededication of his life to family and to following God’s path, Fuller and his wife, Linda, decided to sell their possessions and give the money to the poor. Following missions work in Africa, the Fullers founded Habitat for Humanity in Americus, Georgia. Fuller has written ten books. He has received numerous awards, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, America’s highest civilian award, and more than fifty honorary doctorate degrees for his outstanding leadership toward meeting the goal of eliminating poverty housing worldwide. He and Linda are honored with a bonze medallion on the Extra Mile Pathway in Washington, D.C., near the Capitol.
