Lord Teach Us to Pray features 23 sermons by noted Scottish theologian and preacher, Alexander Whyte. Divided into three parts, Whyte's collection of sermons explain the hallmarks of true prayer and illustrates them with a variety of examples of prayer from biblical characters. The title of the book is taken from Luke 11:1, and the sermons are drawn from several series on prayer Whyte delivered between 1895 and 1906. Possessing a strong education, Whyte often incorporated the work of theologians, philosophers, poets, and scientists in his well-crafted sermons. Though originally delivered over a century ago, his sermons retain their power of conviction and spiritual aptitude.
