John Hollinger launched the basketball analysis website www Alleyoop.com in 1996. Its groundbreaking commentary was immediately touted by Web magazine and the Wall Street Journal. He spent the next three years covering the Portland Trail Blazers as the sports editor of OregonLive.com. He currently lives in Atlanta, where he is a basketball editor for SI.com.
