Bill Calkins is owner and president of Pyramid Consulting, a computer consulting firm located near Grand Rapids, Michigan, specializing in the implementation and administration of client-server systems. Bill is also the author of Solaris 2.6 Administration Certification Training Guide, Part I. He has over 16 years of experience in UNIX system administration and consulting at over 85 different companies. He has also worked as an instructor in both corporate and university settings, and has helped hundred of administrators get their certification. His experience covers all flavors of UNIX, including HP-UX, AIX, IRIX, Linux, and SCO. When he's not working in the field, he's conducting training and educational seminars on various topics in system administration.
