Présentation de l'éditeur :
Our value system today causes few girls to feel good about their physical appearance. Even Miss America and Miss Universe competitors will admit, if they are honest, that they are aware of their physical flaws. If those who are blessed with great beauty deal with a poor self-image and a lack of confidence, then, logically, a beautiful appearance isn’t the real source of a good self-image. True beauty and confidence radiates from the inner person outward.Total Image covers practical, hands-on activities to build confidence in the areas of clothing, hair, posture, skin care and make-up. It teaches skills for social situations, public speaking, etiquette and making friends. The heart of Total Image, teaches how to find true identity in Jesus Christ and build "God-confidence." Learn biblical principles on modesty, forgiveness, dating, love, and living a balanced life. Total Image can be used individually or for a group. Youth Leaders: Have you been searching for a workbook that will attract teenage girls to find the source of their true identity and build a healthy self image? Biographie de l'auteur :
Active in the image business for over forty years, Lynda Murphy first began modeling and later was a fashion coordinator commentating fashion shows. Her experience led her to open a Fashion, Modeling, and Charm School where she was the owner and director of Total Image - a self-improvement program and the Christian Summer Camp for teens. Lynda served fourteen years on church staff as Director of Women’s Ministry in Northern California and was director of Leaders in Fellowship Together (LIFT) in Arizona, educating and encouraging women in Christ centered ministries. Growing up, Lynda personally suffered from a poor self image with all the teasing that went with her last name Dumm. Because of the teasing at school her self-esteem was incredibly low. Her parents sent her to a modeling and charm school during her sophomore year in high school. Though she was extremely shy, she learned how to wear the air of confidence. Like an M&M candy, she became coated on the outside, but hidden just below the surface of her polished appearance she melted on the inside with the darkness of insecurity. Lynda won honors throughout high school and college, including the opportunity to represent her community in the Miss California pageant, but it wasn’t until she found a personal relationship with Christ in her early twenties that she fully understood that God had a plan for her life. Lynda is also the author of The Second Half: Finding the Fountain of Truth. For more information on topics Lynda go to www.lyndamurphy.com
