Synopsis

Some crafters think there's a stone wall between craft (what they do) and art (what hippies do). In fact, lots of art techniques are invaluable to crafters and are no more demanding than knitting a sweater or playing around with polymer clay. This is an upbeat, non-technical introduction to artistic design and composition for crafters and beginner artists. A collage is simply a composition of materials and objects attached to a surface. While that surface has traditionally been paper or canvas, there's no reason why it can't be: - a lunch box - a birdhouse - a wastepaper basket - a lampshade - a storage box - 30 designer projects for gifts and for home decoration are explained and illustrated step-by-step in full colour. The materials used for the decorating include: - paper - fabric - costume jewellery - magazine clippings - beads - sequins - - metal objects - buttons - family snapshots - tin foil - rubber stampings -
