It demonstrates how to link budget calculations, determine the impact of mobility signalling on the network signalling load, design handover procedures and plan for cellular and capacity increases.

Sami Tabbane is Professor and Director of Studies at the Ecole Sup?rieure des Communications de Tunis. He is a member of the IEEE and the Association des Anciens El?ves de L'Ecole des Mines de Paris. His recent research activities have focused on mobility management in cellular systems, cellular systems planning and engineering issues, and macrodiversity methods. He received his Ph.D. in Networks and Computer Science from the Ecole Sup?rieure des T?l?communications de Paris.
