Synopsis
Pharmacy: An Introduction to the Profession is an ideal resource for orientation or introduction to pharmacy courses on both the professional and preprofessional level. It provides the basis for beginning pharmacy students to develop an accurate view of the profession they are entering, to understand the basic tenets of the profession, and to understand the critical issues the profession is facing. The book consists of 10 chapters addressing core concepts about the profession of pharmacy. Chapter 11 provides a selection of readings from the recent pharmacy and biomedical literature. Biographie de l'auteur
L. Michael Posey, RPh, is president of Pharmacy Editorial & News Services (PENS) in Athens, Georgia, and an editor for the APhA periodicals Journal of the American Pharmacists Association, Pharmacy Today, and APhA DrugInfoLine. He also assists with drug information content for APhA s cutting-edge Web site, www.pharmacist.com. During a career spanning two decades as a pharmacy communicator, Posey has served as editor of The Consultant Pharmacist and the American Journal of Hospital Pharmacy, and is an editor of the textbook Pharmacotherapy: A Pathophysiologic Approach.
