Synopsis

This book deals with novel scientific and technology research in Pattern Recognition and Applications. They include new proposals in acoustic and language models, based on Connectionist and Syntactic Pattern Recognition approaches. Applications in Computer Vision, Speech Recognition and Translation: this Section deals with digital TV, biomedical images, mammography, trabecular bone patterns and new calibration methods for large surface topography. These papers are a good summary of the Spanish research in the fields of Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis, as well as in their Applications.
