À propos de l?auteur

Marta Vasquez, PhD, PE, is a chemical engineer retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation. She was an environmental chemist with the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality. She holds a BS degree in chemical engineering from Antioquia University in Medellin, Colombia, an MS degree in organic chemistry from Del Valle University in Cali, Colombia, and a doctorate in analytical chemistry from Louisiana State University. Dr. Vasquez has been working in the fields of transportation and test methods characterization of asphaltic materials in addition to environmental chemistry since 1989. She is a registered professional engineer in Louisiana and author of a number of scientific books and scientific articles.

Robert R. Zinn holds a BS degree in chemistry from Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He became interested in science and electronics when he was young and obtained his amateur radio license at the age of 16. He now holds Amateur Extra Class License N5BZ. He has worked in the fields of computer programming, electronic component manufacturing, taught electronics, worked in electronic service, computer repair, instrument repair, and computer programming for 35 years. He retired in 2012 after providing technical support for faculty and staff at the Louisiana State University Chemistry Department, where he was their systems manager since 1981. Since retirement, he has worked as a volunteer at Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council in Baton Rouge, helping recycle electronic equipment.
