Richard Ellis grew up in Washington, D.C. and relocated to the suburbs of Manassas, Virginia. Attending Calvary Bible Institute, he not only became an outstanding student, but participated in basketball, football, soccer, and crew. Today he is the Assistant Director of Men's Ministry at the Great Mt. Calvary Church in Washington, D.C. He and his wife, Joyetta, have three children, Janell, Ja'anai, and Judah.
