Gary Rinker's first book The Very Best Toy won the USA "Best Books 2011" Award in the "Children's Picture Book: Softcover Fiction" category. He has worked with the Hank the Cowdog series of books and audios at Maverick Books for forty years and created Hank's race and chase travel game Tornado and Hank's Card Game. He lives in Perryton, Texas with his wife Kim, and they have three kids Lisa, David, and Kevin.
