Synopsis
Though many businesses have boarded up their virtual shops as a result of the dot.com crash, eBay continues to soar through it all. Labeled the "300-pound gorilla" of the online auction space, eBay has sustained its place as the primary venue for online trading despite the valiant attempts by others to supplant it. Last year, eBay's marketing team indicated they are on track to meet their goal of earning USD3 billion in revenues by 2005. Of course, this rate of growth spurred by ongoing site enhancements and modifications has resulted in significant change, change to which users, new and experienced, must adapt.
