Nancy Brennan Daniel has done it again. In this updated version of her classic Learn to Do Appliqué in Just One Weekend she has added a host of new projects that employ additional appliqué techniques with contemporary styling while including timeless techniques and designs from the original.
In addition to the classic needle-turn and raw-edge machine methods described in Learn to Do Appliqué in Just One Weekend, this updated version includes the popular fusible appliqué method and the dramatic shadow appliqué technique. Quilters will love the look of the folkloric appliqué designs mixed with bright contemporary fabrics, organza, and even wool.
The revised Learn to Do Appliqué in Just One Weekend will appeal to quilters of all skill level. Quilters who are new to appliqué will appreciate the comprehensive and easy-to-follow instructions while those with more experience can use this edition as a refresher course on the original techniques while adding the new methods to their repertoire. With just a weekend's time anyone can learn the skills necessary to create their own appliqué masterpiece.
