Manuel G. Gonzales is Professor of History at Diablo Valley College and adjunct professor of history at California State University, East Bay. He has also been a visiting professor of Chicano history at the University of California, Berkeley. His publications include Andrea Costa and the Rise of Socialism in the Romagna (Rowman and Littlefield, 1981) and Mexicanos: A History of Mexicans in the United States (University Press of America, 1980). Richard Delgado is University Distinguished Professor and Derrick Bell Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh. He is author, with Jean Stefancic, of No Mercy: How Conservative Think Tanks and Foundations Changed America s Social Agenda (Temple University Press, 1996).
